Najljepše priče iz dijaspore: Bosanskohercegovački studenti Gateway Science Academije u Saint Louisu znatno napreduju u svim naučnim oblastima

GSA – Gateway Science Academy u Saint Louisu je škola koja se financira javnim sredstvima a spada u neprofitnu organizaciju koja pruža visoko kvalitetno obrazovanje fokusirano na STEM. Američki pojam STEM javlja se kao akronim koji upućuje na akademske discipline kao što su (science) nauka, (technology) tehnologija, (engineering) inženjering i (mathematics) matematika. Ove discipline su privukle pažnju bosanskohercegovačkih talenata da se natječu unutar Gateway škola, koje nude izuzetne programe, sveobuhvatne usluge i mogućnosti kao i platforme za studente da pokažu svoje talente i dostignuća u svim tim poljima.

Na školskom sajmu nauke koji ukuljučuje projektne izložbe, konkurenciju za dizajn, naučne demonstracije i robotiku znatan je broj bh. studenta koji prema statističkim podacima iz januara 2019 godine pokazuju impresionirajuće rezultate. Sajam je bio otvoren za sve učenike iz javnog, charter i privatnog obrazovanja za djecu od 5-12 razreda i svi događaji bili su dostupni za javnost.

U St. Louis Science Centru, 26 januara 2019 godine natjecatelji su prezentirali svoje naučne radove iz raznih oblasti. GSASEF rezultati su pokazali da je od 60 nagrada, 10 nagrada ili 16.67% pripalo bosanskohercegovačkim studnetima koji su bili fokusirani na fiziku, biologiju, matematiku, hemiju, mikrobiologiju, botaniku, prirodu i zdravlje. Osvijetlili su ponos Bosne i Hercegovine u dijaspori sa 6 zlatnih i 4 srebrene medalje, uz koje su slijedile diplome i novčane nagrade.

Naši učenici ne samo da su izgradili samopouzdanje kroz samostalno kreirane projekte već su i poboljšali reputaciju škole u pogledu znanstvenog istraživanja i tehnološkog dizajna kroz sprovođenje eksperimenata i istraživanju odnosa između nauke, tehnologije i društva. To smo mi. To je Bosna i Hercegovina. Sljedeći studenti zaslužuju najiskrenije čestitke: Kadir Sobo, Dženan Zečević, Ibrahim Vrtić, Talha Dizdarević, Tasneem Dizdarević, Elma Bjelavac, Aldin Sobo, Yahya Dizdarevic, Lejla Sobo i Senida Ramić. Selektiranim kandidatima mnogo sreće na državnom takmičenju u Cleveland – Ohiu.

The most beautiful stories from the Diaspora Bosnian-Herzegovinian students of Gateway Science Academies in Saint Louis are making significant progress

in all scientific fields

 

 The GSA-Gateway Science Academy in Saint Louis is a publicly funded school and is a non-profit organization that provides high quality education focused on STEM. The American term STEM appears as an acronym that points to academic disciplines such as science technology, engineering, and mathematics. These disciplines have attracted the attention of Bosnian-Herzegovinian talents to compete within Gateway schools, who are offering exceptional programs, comprehensive services, and opportunities as well as platforms for students to show their talents and achievements in all these fields.

At the school district science fair that included project exhibitions, design competition, scientific demonstrations and robotics, there was a significant number of Bosnian-Herzegovinian students who, according to statistical data from January 2019, showed impressive results. The fair was open to all students from public, charter, and private domain including 5-12 grades and all events were available to the public. In St. Louis Science Center, on January 26th, 2019, the contestants presented their scientific porojects and demonstrations from various fields. GSASEF results showed that from 60 awards, 10 awards or 16.67% came from Bosnian-Herzegovinian students focusing on physics, biology, mathematics, chemistry, microbiology, botany, nature and health.

They highlighted the pride of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the diaspora with 6 gold and 4 silver medals, followed by recognition certificates and gift cards. Our students did not only build self-confidence through self-created projects but also improved the reputation of the school in terms of scientific research and technological design through the conduct of experiments while researching the relationship between science, technology and society. That’s us. This is Bosnia and Herzegovina.
