New York, 16. april 2017 – Bosanskohercegovački Filmski Festival (BHFF) u New Yorku objavljuje dobitnike Zlatnih Jabuka nagrada za 14. godišnji filmski festival!
Film Gorana Kapetanovića IZBJEGLICA 532, u kojem dvanaestogodišnji izbjeglica Ševko se prilagođava na svoj novi život u Švedskoj, prevladavajući nedaće i čekajući vijesti od kuće, osvojio je BHFF 2017 Zlatnu jabuku žirija za najbolji kratki film.IZBJEGLICA 532 koji ima predivnu glumačku ekipu sa izuzetnim scenarijom i emotivnom glumom, je priča koja govori ne samo o našoj nedavnoj prošlosti, već i o globalnoj sadašnjosti.
ZABRANJENO PUŠENJE U SARAJEVU, Gianluca Loffreda, retrospektiva na kultni bosanski rock bend Zabranjeno pušenje, kao i jedinstveni period koji uvela u regiju pokret Novi Primitivizam, osvojio je BHFF 2017 Zlatnu jabuku žirija za najbolji dokumentarni film. ZABRANJENO PUŠENJE U SARAJEVU je nagrađen za sjajnu priču i stkan složen i suptilan narativ, koju priča autsajder, a koja je tragična priča koja je simboliše toliko razilaženja u koji su se desili uzadnjih 25 godina.
DOBRA ŽENA Mirjane Karanović, priča o ženi čiji je život uzdrman otkrićem video kasete koja implicira njenog supruga Vladu u ratne zločine, osvojila je BHFF 2017 nagradu Zlatna jabuka žirija za najbolji dugometražni film. DOBRA ŽENA je moćan film koji je nagrađen za relevantan, pravovremen i hrabarscenarij, sa važnaom tematikom i vješto sprovedenim pripovijedanjem i kinematografijom.
Mirjana Karanović je također osvojila prvu nagradu žirija na BHFF za najbolje glumačko ostvarenje za ulogu u filmu DOBRA ŽENA. Mirjanina suptilana, suzdržana i intenzivno moćna gluma je simbol njenog savremenog društva.
Film Danisa Tanovića SMRT U SARAJEVU, jaka satira koja odražava nesigurnost moderne Evrope, osvojio je nagradu publike BHFF 2017 Zlatna jabuka za najbolji film.
Nagrade žirija je dodijelio službeni BHFF 2017 žiri, stručni panel, koji se uključuje renomiranog fotoreportera Ron Haviva; režiserku i autoricu Zlatau Filipović, i priznatiu kostimografkiju Amelu Bakšić.

BHFF ANNOUNCES GOLDEN APPLE AWARDS
New York City, April 16, 2017 – The Bosnian-Herzegovinian Film Festival (BHFF) in New York City is excited to announce the winners of the Golden Apple Awards for the 14th annual event!
Goran Kapetanović’s REFUGEE 532, in which twelve-year-old refugee Sevko must adapt to his new life in Sweden while overcoming adversity and waiting for news from home, won the BHFF 2017 Golden Apple Jury Award for Best Short Film.
REFUGEE 532 is wonderfully cast and with satisfying script and emotional performances, a story that not only speaks of our recent past but also of our global present.
NO SMOKING IN SARAJEVO, Gianluca Loffredo’s retrospective on iconic Bosnian rock band No Smoking, and the unique period that ushered in the region’s comic and sharp-edged New Primitivism movement, won the BHFF 2017 Golden Apple Jury Award for Best Documentary.
NO SMOKING IN SARAJEVO was awarded for a perceptive storytelling and weaving of a complex and subtle narrative, from an outsider looking into a tragic story that is symbolic of so many breakups of the last 25 years.
A GOOD WIFE, Mirjana Karanović’s story of a woman whose life is shaken when she discovers a video that implicates her husband Vlada in war crimes, won the BHFF 2017 Golden Apple Jury Award for Best Feature.
A GOOD WIFE is a powerful film that was awarded for relevant, timely and brave script, an important theme and skilfully executed storytelling and cinematography.
Mirjana Karanović also won the BHFF’s first ever Jury Award for Best Acting Performance for her role in A GOOD WIFE. Mirjana Karanović subtle, restrained and intensely powerful performance is a symbol of her contemporary society.
Danis Tanović’s DEATH IN SARAJEVO, a biting satire mirroring the precariousness of modern Europe, won the BHFF 2017 Golden Apple Audience Award for Best Picture.
Films receiving Jury Awards were selected by the official BHFF 2017 Jury, an expert panel, comprised of renowned photojournalist Ron Haviv; filmmaker and author Zlata Filipović, and acclaimed costume designer Amela Bakšić.
